Here is the official statement from one of the biggest stores for Supra parts in US:
"1997/1998 Tail Lights: DISCONTINUED!!
Bad news! The rumors are true! These taillights have just been discontinued by Toyota USA. We've tapped into the dealer network and found none of them remain available in the states; either side. We're frantically searching various other sources, especially overseas, to try and get as many as we can.
As of right now, we have 3-4 sets on their way to us, in transit now, to fulfill current orders. We have many more on order and aren't entirely sure when they will be available. SupraStore is still taking new orders for these, and will fulfill them on a first come first served basis. Every day, we are actively searching and reaching out to try and get these in the hands of everyone that needs them, so please be patient!
As of right now, the 1993-1996 tail lights are still fairly readily available.
The 1997/1998 S2 head lights also seem to be discontinued, but we do have a few sets still available."
